American Renaissance School has relaunched its website to provide a new and improved resource for students, parents, and staff. The new website came online just in time to share the robust back to school information.
“While we are excited about the new website, that’s not all that’s new,” Executive Director Jim Duffey explained during a staff meeting on Wednesday. ‘I am excited to share our new brand to include logo and enhanced school colors with everyone.”
ARS originally opened as American Renaissance Charter School in 1998 and American Renaissance Middle School in 1999. While the schools merged in 2007, they maintained separate mascots.
With 22 years at ARS, Duffey has experienced various mascots and logos, including the black and white crest boasting a knight, a gryphon and a cardinal.
Looking toward the future and their plans to come together under one roof through expansion, Duffey felt the time was right for a single mascot.
ARS turned to Grant Owen at OwenGraffix-Creative Group for assistance, and a new gryphon styled just for ARS was born.
Spokeology, a downtown Statesville digital agency, handled the website redesign. As a former ARS board member and parent, owner Cindy Sutton was excited to work on the project.
“It’s an honor to support the school that helped mold our son into the young man he is today,” she said.
OPEN HOUSE
American Renaissance School will hold an Open House to kick off the new school year on Monday, August 9.
