There are businesses in the community looking to add members to their team this year, and East Iredell Middle School wants to connect adults and youth in the community to these opportunities.
East Iredell Middle School will host Knight’s Night for Success, a job and career fair, from 5 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, April 14, at the school.
“We have quite a few vendors coming, several of which are currently hiring. I would love to link some of the community members who need employment with them,” said school counselor Lynn Stone.
According to Stone, the event will showcase a mix of opportunities for adults and youth.
Badger Sport has quite a few positions open for adults. Additionally, representatives from Mitchell Community College from various departments will be on hand to speak with both adults and students.
Students can also learn about opportunities through Iredell-Statesville Schools’ early college and Career Academy and Technical School program.
Other participating organizations include Decision Path, Dream Builders and Crosby Scholars Iredell.
The event will take place at East Iredell Middle School in the bus parking lot. Guests should enter from the Chestnut Grove Road entrance, located at 590 Chestnut Grove Road.
Students do not have to be I-SS students to attend the event, and all adults in the community are welcome.
