Iredell-Statesville Schools officials reported only three positive tests for COVID-19 across the district in the first couple of days after resuming full-time in-person learning for students in grades 6-12.
I-SS resumed in-person instruction on April 7.
The district’s COVID-19 Dashboard for April 2-8 includes the Easter break and a teacher workday so students were only in school two of the days.
I-SS and the Iredell County Health Department reported possible exposure to parents of students at only two schools — East Iredell MIddle and Third Creek Middle.
Thirteen staff members across the district were forced to isolate or quarantine due to symptoms or possible exposore, along with 140 students.
I-SS reported no cases of secondary spread in schools for the reporting period.
