FROM STAFF REPORTS
The Iredell County Sheriff’s Office is searching for a suspect in a shooting early Tuesday morning that left one person dead.
ICSO investigators have obtained a warrant charging Tyrell Dantaye Daniels, 31, with murder.
Sheriff Darren Campbell said Daniels, who is also known as “Lil Buckey,” should be considered armed and dangerous. Anyone who knows Daniels’ whereabouts is asked to call 911 or the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office at 704-878-3100.
Daniels is wanted in connection with an early morning shooting that occurred on Williams Road near west Statesville, Campbell said.
ICSO homicide investigators and crime scene investigators were called to the scene and then a secondary scene at Iredell Memorial Hospital shortly after 3 a.m. One victim was confirmed deceased at the hospital.
Investigators have not released the victim’s name or any details about the shooting.
Daniels has made threats against law enforcement officers in the past, Campbell said. According to the ICSO, his criminal history includes convictions for Misdemeanor Assault with a Deadly Weapon, Second Degree Trespassing, Felony First-Degree Burglary, Felony Attempted Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon, Felony Possession of a Stolen Firearm, Felony Assault with a Dangerous Weapon Inflicting Serious Injury, three counts of Misdemeanor Communicating Threats, Felony Failure to Appear on a Felony Charge, and two counts of Misdemeanor Assault.
Why is he out? How many charges were dismissed by D.A.?
Just another example of of why people with these records don’t need to be out of prison. Covid or crowded system is no excuse. Now a person is dead, wouldn’t have happened If he was still in prison !!!!
What a waste, maybe it will be him next time.
