Mooresville police are searching for a man facing multiple felony child pornography charges.
On November 3, Mooresville Police Department detectives and officers executed a search warrant at 286 West Statesville Avenue as part of an ongoing investigation into the distribution of online child pornography.
As a result of this investigation, Jonathon Alexander Wright was arrested and charged with three counts of sexual exploitation of a minor in the second degree, possession of marijuana and resist, obstruct and delay an officer, according to an MPD news release.
Wright received a $100,000 secured bound on these charges and was placed in the Iredell County Detention Center before he bonded out of custody.
Based on evidence located during the search warrant, detectives obtained additional warrants charging Wright with six additional counts of third-degree sexual exploitation of a minor, police said.
When officers went to his residence to arrest Wright, they discovered his family no longer resided there, according to the news release.
Officers have not located Wright and are requesting the public’s help in finding him.
Wright’s wife, Christal Ann Wright, was also arrested when the MPD executed the search warrant and charged with possession of marijuana and resist, obstruct and delay an officer. She received a $2,500 secured bond, which she posted and was released from custody.

Suspect faces more than a dozen charges after MPD investigation
After a lengthy investigation concerning the distribution of child pornography that began in March, detectives with the Mooresville Police Department obtained warrants charging Chase Harris Roycroft with 15 counts of third-degree sexual exploitation of a minor and three counts of second-degree sexual exploitation of a minor.
Roycroft was arrested at his residence without incident and placed in the Iredell County Detention Center under a $100,000 secured bond.
The MPD received the assistance of the Boone Police Department and the Department of Homeland Security Investigations in this case.
