A Mooresville who was on probation faces several new drug charges after police officers found ecstasy and marijuana while searching her vehicle and residence, according to a Mooresville Police Department news release.

On January 11, MPD detectives charged Ebony Mills, 34, with possession with intent to sell or deliver a schedule I Controlled Substance (MDMA, or ecstasy) within 1,000 feet of a park, felony maintaining a vehicle, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. These charges were the result of a traffic stop, according to the news release.

At the time of her arrest, Mills was on probation for possession with intent to sell or deliver methamphetamine, possession with intent to sell or deliver a schedule I controlled substance, possession with intent to sell or deliver a schedule II controlled substance, and possession with intent to sell or deliver marijuana. She was given a $55,000 secured bond, which she posted.

On January 15, Mooresville detectives assisted the N.C. Department of Community Corrections with a search of Mills’ residence.

During the search, detectives seized 21 dosage units of MDMA and marijuana, police said.

She was charged with possession with intent to sell or deliver a schedule I controlled substance (MDMA) within 1,000 feet of a park, possession with intent to sell or deliver marijuana, felony maintaining a dwelling or vehicle for controlled substances, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Mills was given a $100,000 secured bond, which she has already posted.
