COVID-19 PRECAUTIONS

Cars will get information and giveaways from each vendor tent as they drive through the parking lot, as well as bagged burgers and hot dogs, water, and free event T-shirts while they last.

At the end of the drive-thru, individuals with questions can pull off in a designated area next to the baseball fields to talk more in depth with recovery experts, using social distancing.

After going through the drive-thru of vendors, attendees may exit or have three options to listen to music by the Audiophiles and hear speakers and recovery stories:
(1) They may sit in their car in the baseball field parking lot and listen.
(2) They can move with their family/friend group with their blanket/chairs to designated, socially distanced spots on the field. Groups are asked not intermingle for community health and safety.
(3) They can watch the event on Facebook live segments through the afternoon.

Hand sanitizer and masks will be available if desired, and social distancing is requested if sitting on the field.

The COVID-19 vaccine will be available for those who wish to get the shot. Banner Drug will be providing the vaccinations.

All food will be prepared and distributed with highest health and safety standards in place by G4G.

Portions of the Audiophiles concert and recovery speakers will be live-streamed on Facebook.

ABOUT NATIONAL RECOVERY MONTH

Each September, SAMHSA sponsors National Recovery Month to increase awareness and understanding of mental and substance use disorders, and celebrate the individuals living in recovery. This year’s theme is “RECOVERY IS FOR EVERYONE: Every Person, Every Family, Every Community.”

Now in its 32nd year, Recovery Month celebrates the gains made by those in recovery, just as we celebrate improvements made by those who are managing other health conditions such as hypertension, diabetes, asthma, and heart disease.

Each September, Recovery Month works to promote and support new evidence-based treatment and recovery practices, the emergence of a strong and proud recovery community, and the dedication of service providers and community members across the nation who make recovery in all its forms possible.

The observance will work to highlight inspiring stories that help thousands of people from all walks of life find the path to hope, health, and wellness.
