Dr. Matthew “Max” Carraro has joined Piedmont HealthCare’s Lake Norman Neurology – Charlotte practice.
Board certified in Neurology and fellowship trained in Multiple Sclerosis and Neuroimmunology, Carraro has been practicing in Charlotte for the past six years. He joins Dr. Kurt Washburn and Dr. Roderick Elias in the SouthPark location of PHC’s Lake Norman Neurology.
“We have loved living in Charlotte and becoming a part of the community,” Carraro said. “It has been a privilege to care for thousands of patients already, including more than 1,000 people living with multiple sclerosis. My purpose has always been to provide exceptional care. We strive to be cutting edge, comprehensive, and always compassionate. I am thrilled to be able to continue this mission in Charlotte, with Lake Norman Neurology and Piedmont HealthCare.”
Originally from Chicago, Carraro completed his undergraduate education at the University of Wisconsin with a Bachelor of Science in Sociology. He attended medical school, internship and residency at the Ohio State University, followed by fellowship at Riverside Methodist Hospital.
Carraro remains infused with the soul, music, and culture of his hometown in Chicago. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his wife, three children, and dog; running, cooking, reading, and exploring the outdoors and new music.
