A Statesville man faces multiple felony drug charges after Iredell County Sheriff’s Office deputies seized LSD, MDMA and marijuana from a vehicle during a traffic stop.
Sheriff Darren Campbell announced the arrest of Eric Jaden Glasgow, 19, in a news release Friday.
Deputies stopped a Chevrolet on Thursday on Salisbury Highway in the area of Beaverbrook Road, according to the news release.
During the course of the vehicle stop, Deputy Hodges utilized K-9 Levi to perform a search of the vehicle. Levi indicated to the positive odor of narcotics in the vehicle, according to the news release.
A search of the vehicle was performed and deputies found three dosage units of LSD (Lysergic Acid Diethylamide), one dosage unit of MDMA (Ecstasy), 17 grams of marijuana which had been separated into separate bags consistent with sales of a controlled substance, and one gram of THC wax, along with and several items of drug paraphernalia, Campbell said.
Glasgow was taken into custody on scene and transported to the Iredell County Detention Center. He was charged with felony possession of a Schedule I controlled substance (LSD), felony possession of a Schedule I controlled substance (MDMA), felony possession with intent to sell or deliver marijuana, felony maintaining a vehicle for the use or sale of a controlled substance, and three misdemeanor drug offenses. Glasgow was also served with an outstanding Order for Arrest for speeding and reckless driving.
Glasgow appeared before Magistrate Nicholson, who issued an $8,000 secured bond on these charges.
