Justin Crews announced his candidacy for a seat on the Iredell-Statesville Schools Board of Education.
Crews is running as an unaffiliated candidate in District 7. He is the father of seven children who currently attend I-SS schools.
He has served as a minister for 20 years and has been an ordained deacon at The Ramp Church International for eight years. He currently serves as a team volunteer on the Mooresville Mayor’s Diversity and Inclusion Taskforce.
Crews holds a degree in electrical electronics as well as an associate degree as an electrical analyst,
If elected to the I-SS board, Crews plans to look at ways to bring more teachers and bus drivers to I-SS district. He also plans to advocate for more parental involvement and support. Additionally, he wants to look at expanding the offerings of after-school activities to involve more of the student body.
As an unaffiliated candidate, Crews needs to obtain 700 signatures from registered voters in I-SS district 7. Expect to see him and his representatives in the community gaining support and collecting those signatures.
