Brawley School boys basketball team receives recognition

Iredell-Statesville Schools celebrated the Randy Marion Winter “Team of the Season’ at the Brawley School in Mooresville. The boys basketball team was chosen for the award. The team was visited by Jennifer Marion, received a gift bag, and got to check out a cool car.

Jake the therapy dog visits Third Creek Middle

Jake the therapy dog recently visited Third Creek Middle School. Iredell-Statesville Schools is proud to have several therapy dogs in the district to assist students. Therapy dogs provide relief to those in anxiety-provoking situations, bring comfort to those who are grieving or lonely, and offer affection to people who need extra support.

A small group of middle school boys are making a big impact. Middle School boys from several I-SS middle schools are taking time to visit elementary schools across the district and serve as mentors.
