The following cases were disposed of during recent terms of Iredell County Superior Court:
♦ David Boyce was convicted after a jury trial of Assault with a Deadly Weapon with Intent to Kill Inflicting Serious Injury and Discharging a Weapon into Occupied Property and was sentenced to 104-137 months in prison, plus 36-56 months in prison.
♦ Quinton Kasey pleaded guilty to Second-Degree Murder and Attempted Murder and was sentenced to 180-228 months in prison.
♦ Azontay Sherrill pleaded guilty to Second-Degree Murder and Attempted Murder and was sentenced to 180-228 months in prison.
♦ Malik Sturgis pleaded guilty to Possession of Stolen Vehicle, Possession of Firearm by Felon and Habitual Felon and was sentenced to 60-84 months in prison.
♦ Jerico Givens pleaded guilty to two counts of First-Degree Statutory Rape and one count of Indecent Liberties and was sentenced to 192-291 months in prison. The defendant was ordered to register as a sex offender.
♦ Juwan Hester pleaded guilty to four counts of Sale of Cocaine and one count of Possession of Firearm by Felon and was sentenced to 22-36 months in prison.
♦ Tyrone Dye pleaded guilty to Assault by Strangulation and was sentenced to 5-15 months suspended.
♦ Jeremy Miller pleaded guilty to Felony Domestic Violation Protective Order Violation and was sentenced to 16-29 months in prison.
♦ John Barkley pleaded guilty pursuant to Alford to Assault on a Female and Misdemeanor Stalking and was sentenced to two consecutive suspended sentences of 75 days.
♦ Degroes Thomas pleaded guilty to Attempted Assault with Deadly Weapon Inflicting Serious Injury and Possession of Firearm by Felon and was sentenced to 17-30 months suspended.
♦ Joshua Dunn pleaded guilty to two counts of Sale of Schedule II Controlled Substance and was sentenced to 10-21 months suspended.
♦ Ronisha Reed pleaded guilty to Trafficking in Methamphetamine by Transport and was sentenced to 70-93 months in prison and was ordered to pay a $50,000 fine.
♦ Danielle Finney pleaded guilty to Attempted Trafficking and was sentenced to 6-17 months suspended.
♦ Logan Barker pleaded guilty to Possession of Firearm by Felon and was sentenced to 12-24 months suspended.
♦ Kareen Chapman pleaded guilty to Felony Possession of Cocaine and was sentenced to 4-14 months suspended.
♦ Steven Bolick pleaded guilty to Felony Larceny and First-Degree Trespass and was sentenced to 9-20 months suspended with an active split sentence of 20 days in jail.
♦ Shaka Holden pleaded guilty to Felony Habitual Larceny and two counts of Felony Larceny and was sentenced to two consecutive sentences of 12-24 months in prison.
♦ Nicole Jackson pleaded guilty to Felony Habitual Larceny and Felony Possession of Schedule II Controlled Substance and was sentenced to 9-20 months, plus 6-17 months in prison.
♦ Larry McDonald pleaded guilty to Felony Breaking or Entering and Felony Larceny and was sentenced to 18-31 months in prison.
♦ Adam Jones pleaded guilty to Possession with Intent to Sell or Deliver Marijuana and was sentenced to 6-17 months suspended.
♦ April Newcomb pleaded guilty to Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and was sentenced to 20 days in jail.
♦ Christopher Plummer pleaded guilty to Felony Possession of Methamphetamine and was sentenced to 4-14 months suspended.
♦ Anita Readling pleaded guilty to Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Resisting an Officer and was sentenced to 45 days suspended.
♦ Justice Weaver pleaded no contest to Felony Possession of Heroin and was sentenced to 7-18 months suspended.
♦ Timothy West pleaded guilty to Felony Possession of Stolen Goods and Felony Possession of Controlled Substance in Jailand was sentenced to 8-19 months in prison.
♦ John Newell pleaded guilty to Felony Possession of Methamphetamine and was sentenced to 6-17 months suspended.
♦ Tara Cleary pleaded guilty to Felony Larceny after Breaking or Entering and was sentenced to 5-15 months suspended.
♦ Cameron Turner pleaded guilty to Possession with Intent to Sell or Deliver Schedule VI Controlled Substance and Felony Maintaining a Place for Controlled Substances and was sentenced to 6-17 months suspended.
♦ Edward Carroll pleaded guilty to Felony Possession of Schedule IV Controlled Substance and was sentenced to 4-14 months suspended.
♦ Jamir Gates pleaded guilty to three counts of Identity Theft and was sentenced to 10-21 months suspended.
♦ Wendy Ross pleaded guilty to Obtaining Controlled Substance by Fraud/Forgery and was sentenced to 4-14 months suspended.
♦ Patrick Flanagan pleaded guilty to Felony Stalking and was sentenced to 8-19 months suspended.
♦ Kadeem Featherson pleaded guilty to Possession of Firearm by Felon, Breaking or Entering Motor Vehicle, Felony Larceny and Felony Breaking or Entering and Larceny and was sentenced to 18-31 months plus, 10-21 months in prison.
♦ Tyler Arnott pleaded guilty to two counts of Attempted Trafficking in Opium and was sentenced to 13-25 months in prison.
♦ Travis Wilhelm pleaded guilty to Misdemeanor Hit and Run and Obstruction of Justice and was sentenced to 45 days in jail plus 45 days suspended.
♦ Lavarius Patterson pleaded guilty to Conspiracy to Commit Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon and Possession of Firearm by Felon and was sentenced to 23-40 months in prison.
♦ Jakwan Carlton pleaded guilty pursuant to Alford to Malicious Conduct by Prisoner and was sentenced to 15-27 months suspended.
♦ Amanda Collins pleaded guilty to two counts of Sale of Methamphetamine and one count of Conspiracy to Sell Methamphetamine and was sentenced to three consecutive sentences of 13-25 months in prison.
♦ Thomas Griffin pleaded no contest to Possession with Intent to Sell or Deliver Cocaine and Felony Maintaining a Place for Controlled Substances and was sentenced to 12-24 months in prison.
♦ Larry Morrison pleaded no contest to Assault on a Female and was sentenced to 150 days active.
♦ Lawrence Schmidt pleaded guilty to 11 counts of Felony Stalking and was sentenced to two consecutive sentences of 25-39 months in prison, followed by 11-23 months suspended.
♦ Ronald Tran pleaded guilty to Sell or Deliver Schedule I Controlled Substance and was sentenced to 10-21 months suspended.
♦ Luther Campbell pleaded guilty to Identity Theft and was sentenced to 19-32 months suspended.
♦ Justin Volel pleaded guilty to Possession of Firearm by Felon and was sentenced to 15-27 months suspended.
♦ Kimberlyn Hoots pleaded guilty to three counts of Misdemeanor Larceny and was sentenced to 60 days suspended.
♦ Tykilius Whisonant pleaded guilty to Possession of Firearm by Felon and was sentenced to 9-20 months suspended.
♦ Samantha Kesler pleaded guilty to two counts of Felony Larceny of Motor Vehicle, Felony Breaking or Entering and Larceny and Misdemeanor Assault with a Deadly Weapon and was sentenced to two consecutive, suspended sentences of 11-23 months with an active split sentence of 90 days in jail.
Put them all in prison and throw away the keys. We won’t miss them.
