Three more deaths in Iredell County have been attributed to COVID-19.

The Iredell County Health Department reported the latest deaths on Wednesday afternoon. A total of 480 individuals who have tested positive for COVID-19 have died in the county since the onset of the pandemic in March of 2020.

Local health officials do not release personal information about COVID-19 patients, including those who pass away. 

Eleven people who have tested positive for COVID-19 are currently being treated in Iredell County hospitals. Eight of the patients are county residents.

Health officials have reported 406 new laboratory confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the past week, increasing Iredell’s cumulative total to 51,509 cases.
