Two suspects face felony robbery charges related to the theft of Apple watches from the Mooresville Target store.
According to the Mooresville Police Department, a suspect entered the Target located at 594 River Highway on Thursday, December 8, and, while interacting with a store employee in the electronics department, the suspect took two Apple watches with a total value of $1599.98 from the store employee.
The suspect then fled from inside the store to a car waiting in the parking lot, police said.
Officers were able to identify the suspects and conduct a traffic stop on the suspect’s vehicle as the two suspects drove away from Target, according to an MPD news release.
One suspect fled on foot from the traffic stop but was apprehended after a brief foot pursuit, police said.
Kenneth Deangelo Foard, 36 of Charlotte was charged with common law robbery, felony larceny and misdemeanor resisting, delaying and obstructing an officer.
Tony Williams, 31, of Charlotte was charged with felony conspiracy, aid and abet in common law robbery, and resisting, delaying and obstructing an officer.
Both subjects were taken to Iredell County Detention Center.
