Troutman was invaded by oddly dressed runners on Saturday evening as the Wicked Fast 5K, sponsored by D.R. Horton, took over the Richardson Greenway for a spooktacular evening to kick off the Halloween season.
The family-friendly race for all ages and fitness levels featured participants from infants in baby carriages pushed by parents to seasoned retirees. All received a medal and T-shirt in the officially timed race.
Next up on Halloween afternoon, Troutman’s annual Trails and Treats event will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Families can don their costumes and bring the kids to safely trick-or-treat at booths set up by local businesses and nonprofits on the paved walking trail near the entrance of Troutman ESC Park.
This was great! So many people took part and had fun. Great job putting it together Troutman. 🙂
