Registration is now underway for the Balloon Chasers 5K and 1-Mile Fun Run, which will be held in conjunction with the 2022 Carolina Balloonfest.

Come early for the run and stay late! Stick around after the race and enjoy the festival activities!

Registration includes a one-day pass to Carolina BalloonFest ($20 value) and on-site parking.

This course is flat and fast! The race starts and ends at the terminal of the Statesville Regional Airport, offering a unique opportunity to run a 5K on the airport runway while viewing magnificent hot air balloons launching and taking flight! (Weather conditions permitting.)

The 5K will be chip timed.

5K AWARDS

Awards will be given to the fastest male and fastest female, along with the top male and female running in the following age groups: 1 – 14; 15 – 19; 20 – 29; 30 – 39; 40 – 49; 50 – 59; and 60-plus.

FUN RUN

A finishers medal will be given to all 1-Mile Fun Run participants.
