Rocky Mount Church is hosting a Karaoke @ The Mount event for special needs community members on Saturday, March 19, in the church’s large Boathouse room.
Rocky Mount Church hosted its first Night To Shine special needs “prom” event in February of 2020. After the event went virtual in 2021 and again this year due to COVID-19 concerns, the event committee decided to host this casual, fun outing to keep in touch with these community members.
This simple, safe and fun event is not an official Night To Shine event but a casual Saturday night out for fun with friends. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. The event is from 7 to 9 p.m. Snacks & beverages will be served.
Interested special needs folks ages 16 and up and a maximum of two caregivers should register for this space limited event at https://tinyurl.com/25mnhmct by March 5. Caregivers must accompany the attendees. Space is limited to ensure safety.
The church asks that guests not attend if they are experiencing any cold, flu or covid symptoms. Participants will follow the Church’s covid protocol at the time of the event, understanding that in all public spaces an inherent risk of Covid-19 virus spread exists.
Rocky Mount Church is located at 1739 Perth Road in Mooresville.
