Two suspects face felony charges after Iredell County Sheriff’s Office personnel seized an assortment of illegal drugs while executing a search warrant at a residence off Parkertown Road near Mooresville.
Sheriff Darren Campbell announced the arrests of Zaykeeya Carolyn Smith, 26, and Timothy Franklin Wing, 30, in a news release.
Members of the ICSO Narcotics Unit and the Aggressive Criminal Enforcement Team executed a Narcotic Search Warrant at 126 Parkertown Road on Monday, January 31, after receiving information that Wing was present at that address and possibly in possession of a controlled substance, Campbell said.
While executing of the search warrant, investigators encountered numerous people inside the residence, Campbell said. These individuals were all detained without incident.
After ICSO personnel secured the residence and interviewed a few individuals, Wing was positively identified and taken into custody, Campbell said.
During the search, investigators located approximately 6.6 grams of cocaine, 10 dosage units of oxycodone and 18 grams of fentanyl, along with a small amount of marijuana and U.S. currency, according to the news release.
Approximately 80 grams of crystal methamphetamine was also seized as a result of the investigation, Campbell said.
The total street value of the seized drugs exceeded $11,000, the sheriff added.
Smith and Wing were arrested at the scene and transported to the Iredell County Detention Center.
Smith was charged with felony possession with intent to sell or deliver a schedule II controlled substance (cocaine), felony possession of a schedule II controlled substance (oxycodone), and possession of Marijuana. Magistrate Imes issued a $15,000 secured bond on these charges.
Wing was charged with felony possession with intent to sell or deliver a schedule I controlled substance (fentanyl), and two outstanding narcotics warrants. Magistrate Callejas issued a $100,000 secured bond on these charges.
