Two suspects, including a verified gang member, face felony charges following an investigation by the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office.
Sheriff Darren Campbell announced the arrests of Christine Yvonne Mays, 47, and Allen Jennings Campbell, 33, in a news release Monday.
The ICSO narcotics unit began investigating after receiving information that Mays was actively selling and distributing crystal methamphetamine from 1484 Charlotte Highway, according to the news release.
After surveillance operations were established in the area, undercover investigators verified the information and purchased crystal methamphetamine directly from Mays at the home, Campbell said.
On Friday, June 24, ICSO narcotics investigators with the assistance of patrol deputies executed a narcotics search warrant at 1484 Charlotte Highway, according to the news release.
When the search warrant was executed, investigators and deputies located Mays and Campbell, along with two other individuals inside the home, the sheriff said.
A search of the property uncovered a hidden handgun inside the bedroom where Campbell was staying along with 22.76 grams of crystal methamphetamine valued at just over $2,000, according to the news release.
Mays, who lives at the Charlotte Highway residence, and Campbell, whose permanent address is on Liledown Road in Taylorsville, were taken into custody without incident and transported to the Iredell County Detention Center.
Mays was charged with Felony Possession with Intent to Sell or Deliver Crystal Methamphetamine and Felony Maintaining a Residence for the Sale or Use of a Controlled Substance. A magistrate issued a $50,000 secured bond on these charges.
Campbell was charged with Felony Possession of Crystal Methamphetamine and Felony Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon. A magistrate issued a $20,000 secured bond on these charges.
According to the ICSO, Campbell is a registered sex offender and a verified members of the Nazi Low Riders gang.
