Statesville Woman’s Club makes donation to help homeless I-SS students

The General Federation of Woman’s Club of North Carolina (GFWC of NC) Statesville Woman’s Club held a “Holiday Cheer Giveaway Drawing” on Monday, December 20, via Facebook Live on the club’s Facebook page with WAME Radio Station personality Bill “Billy Buck” Blevins emceeing the event with club President Dana White.

There were drawings for three prizes: a Spirits Cooler (an RTIC cooler full of top-shelf spirits); a Wine Basket (a basket full of gourmet wines and accoutrements); and Statesville Eats (a dining tour for two of local Statesville eateries plus a two-night stay at the Fairfield Inn & Suites Statesville).

The winners were Tracy Robbins (Spirits Cooler); Sandra Landry (Wine Basket); and Fran Baker (Statesville Eats).

Proceeds from the fundraiser were donated to the local McKinney Vento Homeless Education Program which aides homeless Iredell-Statesville School students. A special thanks to Angel Sponsor, DENSO Manufacturing, and other sponsors for making this donation possible.
