The Town of Troutman will hold its 18th Annual Independence Day Celebration for Saturday, July 2.
Independence Day Parade
The celebration will begin with the Independence Day Parade at 11 a.m. The grand marshal of this year’s parade is the United States Marine Corps. All Marines are invited to ride on the town-provided float in the parade to be honored.
Parade participants will assemble at the Iredell-Statesville Schools Career Academy and Technical School located at 350 Old Murdock Road. The parade will travel from the assembly area along Old Murdock Road, turn left onto North Main Street and then travel south, ending near Troutman Elementary School.
Anyone interested in participating in the parade can apply by visiting the Town of Troutman website. Click on the Annual Town Events link and select the Independence Day Parade. Applications are also available to be picked up in person at Troutman Town Hall, located at 400 North Eastway Drive.
Fireworks Show
The Independence Day Celebration will culminate with a fireworks show at the Iredell County Fairgrounds, located at 630 North Main Street.
The Fairgrounds will open to the public at 7 p.m. There will be music, food and a children’s area. The firework display will start at full dark (approximately 9:30 p.m.).
