Several candidates submitted their paperwork on the first day of filing:

♦ Town Commissioner – Ward 2: Thurman Houston
City of Statesville
♦ City Council – Ward 6: Frederick Foster
Town of Troutman
♦ Town Council: Eddie Nau
Mooresville Graded School District
♦ Board of Education: Kerry Pennell, Debbie Marsh
Filing Deadline
Candidate filing ends at 12 noon on Friday, July 21.
