Notice of Intent

The General Statutes of North Carolina allow local governments to enter into contracts with vendors who have in the past 12 months been awarded a contract by any arm of state or local government that was bid under G.S. 143-129 if the vendor is willing to extend the same or more favorable price to the state or local government. This statue is known as the “piggybacking” statue.

It is the intent of the City of Statesville to “piggyback” the bid of the Tribe of Florida that was awarded April of 2022 for one (1) Dri-Prime Diesel Pump.

The City intents to award the bid at the February 6, 2023, Council meeting scheduled to begin at 7:00 pm at City Hall Council Chambers 227 S Center St, Statesville, NC 28677.
