Piedmont HealthCare is excited to welcome Dr. Susan Lee to its OB/GYN team in Statesville.

Dr. Lee has joined tenured physicians, Dr. Margot, Wacks, Dr. Jennifer Parker, Dr. Jamila Wade, Dr. Brandi Kennedy and Dr. Mariana Ellington.

Originally from the Hickory region, Dr. Lee completed her undergraduate studies at the University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill, earning a bachelor’s degree in nursing. She pursued her medical education at the University of Minnesota, followed by a residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Morehouse School of Medicine.

“We are proud to embrace women-led care at PHC OB/GYN, and Dr. Lee’s expertise strengthens our commitment to providing the highest quality of healthcare for women in our community,” Dr. Parker said.

Dr. Lee offers comprehensive women’s health services at Piedmont HealthCare OB/GYN, encompassing reproductive health and family planning. Along with Dr. Parker, Dr. Wacks and Dr. Ellington, she will perform robotic-assisted surgery for their patients. This cutting-edge approach not only ensures minimally invasive procedures but also promotes a quicker and more comfortable recovery journey for patients.

“I believe in treating my patients with the same warmth and care that I would extend to my own family, particularly in the realm of women’s health,” Dr. Lee said. “My role is to provide information and engage in shared decision-making. Together with my patients, we work collaboratively to reach decisions that prioritize the well-being of each woman under my care.”

Outside of the office, Dr. Lee enjoys spending time with her husband and two children. She also has a passion for gardening and hiking.
