REQUEST FOR BIDS

I-CARE, Inc. is accepting subcontractors’ bids for a home energy efficiency project under the North Carolina Department of Environmental Quality WEATHERIZATION ASSISTANCE PROGRAM. The contract requires the weatherization of homes in Iredell and Lincoln counties during the period of July 1, 2023, through June 30, 2024. During the course of this project, subcontracted work is required to provide energy efficiency measures including, but not limited to, air sealing, insulation installation, vapor barrier installation, and minor repairs in customers’ homes per program standards.

Additional bids are being sought from properly licensed (HVAC, ELECTRICAL and/or PLUMBING) contractors in the State of North Carolina for the service and/or installation of heating equipment in customers’ homes, to perform minor electrical repairs in customers’ homes, and/or to perform minor plumbing repairs in customers’ homes.

Bid packages will be available for pickup Monday – Friday between 8am and 4pm from May 1, 2023 – May 25, 2023, at I-CARE, Inc., 1415 Shelton Avenue, Statesville, NC 28677 and online at https://www.icare-inc.org. The bid submission deadline is 12pm on May 26, 2023. Questions may be directed to the Weatherization Department at 704-872-8171.
