Infinite Space will present “A Walk in the Woods” on May 26-27 and June 2-3 at the Old Jail in Statesville.
Tess Hogan and V. Craig Heidenreich, professional actors who founded Infinite Space, will take center stage in this production of the Lee Lessing drama, which was nominated for a Tony Award and the Pulitzer Prize.
“A Walk in the Woods” is centered around two nuclear arms negotiators rise from the bargaining table to take a stroll in the woods above Geneva, Switzerland. They are a seasoned Soviet negotiator and a recently-appointed American negotiator.
New York magazine called the play “a minor miracle” and Time magazine hailed it as “a work of passion and power.”
“A Walk in the Woods” is suitable for adults and young adults. Show times are 7:30 p.m. on May 26-27 and June 2, and 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. on June 3.
The Old Jail is located at 203 S. Meeting Street in Statesville.
