Iredell-Statesville Schools recognizes winners of Holiday Art Contest

The Iredell-Statesville Schools Board of Education recognized winners of the district’s holiday art contest on December 11.

Winners were announced in four categories: Grades K-2, Grades 3-5, Grades 6-8 and Grades 9-13.

All entries were posted to the I-SS Facebook page and the public voted on their favorite holiday card. The purpose of the contest is to highlight the work of our students and interact with our community.

The winners were selected by the most “likes” or “loves” an entry received. The winning entries appeared on the district’s holiday card. The winners will receive their framed artwork along with a certificate.

The 2023 Holiday Art Contest winners are:
• K-2 Winner: Manuel Reyes Mazzini, first grade, Troutman Elementary School;
• 3-5 Winner: Owen Cockeran, fifth grade, Harmony Elementary School;
• 6-8 Winner: Serah Ann Mobin, eighth grade, The Brawley School; and
• 9-13 Winner: Sydney Cunningham, 10th grade, Crossroads Arts & Science.
