District Attorney Sarah Kirman’s Office announced dispositions in the following cases during recent terms of Iredell County Superior Court:
♦ Nelson Bines pleaded guilty to Conspiracy to Commit Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon and Possession of Firearm by Felon and was sentenced to 23 to 40 months in prison.
♦ Ricky Wiles pleaded guilty to Sale of Schedule I Controlled Substance and Felony Hit and Run and was sentenced to 17 to 30 months plus 10-21 months suspended.
♦ Craig Ruff pleaded guilty to Felony Flee to Elude Arrest, two counts of Discharge a Weapon into Occupied Property and Possession of Firearm by Felon and was sentenced to 33 to 52 months in prison.
♦ Willie Johnson pleaded guilty to two counts of Sale of Schedule II Controlled Substance and was sentenced to 12 to 24 months suspended.
♦ Anthony Lane pleaded guilty to two counts of Trafficking in Cocaine and was sentenced to 35 to 51 months in prison.
♦ Linda Price pleaded guilty to Misdemeanor Death by Motor Vehicle and was sentenced to 60 days suspended.
♦ Matthew Johnson pleaded guilty to Felony Larceny of Motor Vehicle and Assault with Deadly Weapon Inflicting Serious Injury and was sentenced to 35 to 54 months in prison.
♦ Jatarius McCracking pleaded guilty to Felony Flee to Elude Arrest and Felony Possession of Stolen Motor Vehicle and was sentenced to 10 to 21 months suspended.
♦ Kiley Anderson pleaded guilty to eight counts of Obtaining Property by False Pretenses and was sentenced to 6 to 17 months suspended.
♦ Brian McAbee pleaded guilty pursuant to Alford to Felony Medicare Assistance Recipient Fraud and was sentenced to 6 to 17 months suspended. Restitution of $177,652.46 was made a civil judgment against him.
♦ Jeremy Lindsay pleaded guilty to three counts of Attempted Trafficking in Opium and was sentenced to 13 to 25 months suspended.
♦ Francis Tackett pleaded guilty to Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and was sentenced to 45 days suspended.
♦ Andre Speaks pleaded guilty to two counts of Malicious Conduct by a Prisoner and was sentenced to 16 to 29 months plus 16 to 29 months suspended. He was ordered to be placed on house arrest and electronic monitoring.
♦ Seth Scroggs pleaded guilty to two counts of Attempted Trafficking in Heroin and was sentenced to 25 to 42 months plus 25 to 42 months in prison.
♦ Michael Weston pleaded guilty to two counts of Felony Conspiracy to Commit Breaking or Entering and Larceny and was sentenced to 6 to 17 months suspended.
♦ Marcie Klinger pleaded guilty to two counts of Felony Conspiracy to Commit Breaking or Entering and Larceny and was sentenced to 6 to 17 months suspended.
♦ David Earp pleaded guilty to Possession of Firearm by Felon and Felony Breaking or Entering and was sentenced to 20 to 33 months in prison.
♦ Bobby Minton pleaded guilty to two counts of Assault on Government Official and one count of Assault by Pointing a Gun and was sentenced to 150 days active.
♦ Allen Campbell pleaded guilty to Possession of Firearm by Felon and Possession of Methamphetamine and was sentenced to 17 to 30 months in prison.
♦ Jonathan Lowman pleaded guilty to Felony Breaking or Entering and Larceny, Felony Larceny of Firearm and Felony Chop Shop Activity and was sentenced to 12 to 24 months in prison plus three consecutive, suspended sentences of 8 to 19 months.
♦ Federico Santibanez pleaded guilty to Possession with Intent to Sell or Deliver Methamphetamine and was sentenced to 6 to 17 months suspended.
♦ Chris Sturdivant pleaded guilty to Possession of Cocaine and Habitual Felon. He was sentenced to 25 to 42 months suspended with an active split sentence of 30 days in jail.
♦ Cameron Wheeler pleaded guilty to two counts of Possession of Cocaine and one count of Felony Obstruction of Justice and was sentenced to 8 to 19 months in prison, to be served concurrently with 10 to 21 months he received for a probation violation.
♦ Kelly McDonald pleaded guilty to Trafficking in Opium/Heroin and Possession with Intent to Sell or Deliver Schedule II Controlled Substance and was sentenced to 70 to 93 months in prison and ordered to pay a $50,000 fine.
♦ William Sifford pleaded guilty to Possession of Firearm by Felon and was sentenced to 31 to 47 months in prison.
♦ Darius Houston pleaded no contest to Possession of Cocaine, Habitual Felon and Driving While Impaired and was sentenced to 38 to 58 months in prison.
♦ Gary Karimikian was found guilty after a jury trial of Possession of Firearm by Felon and was sentenced to 14 to 26 months suspended with an active split sentence of 30 days in jail.
How come so many violent or crimes against peoples private property are suspended ? It seems to me that crimes against taxpayers aren’t important? As a TAX paying homeowner, I find that very upsetting!
Why are the felon with firearm penalties so light? These are repeat felony offenders.
