Iredell Urgent Care – Statesville, a part of Iredell Health System, will officially open on Tuesday, June 20.
The new extended-hours facility will be open daily, including holidays and weekends, from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m., making it the only urgent care facility in the Statesville area open past 8 p.m. Located at 1540 E. Broad Street in Statesville, the facility will be staffed by trained emergency medicine providers from Wake Forest Baptist Health, and utilize a shared, privacy-protected electronic health record system with Iredell Health System and the Iredell Physician Network.
The new urgent care will include a spacious waiting area, 14 exam rooms, a procedure room, and onsite X-ray and lab services for urgent care patients. While the clinic will focus primarily as a
walk-in facility, online appointment scheduling will also be available later this summer.
Iredell Urgent Care – Statesville will be the only urgent care in Statesville located east of I-77.
“Since August of 2022, when Davis Regional Medical Center abruptly closed their Emergency
Department, Iredell Health System has seen a significant increase in the number of patients who need urgent and emergent care. These patients currently must come to the Emergency Department, or travel to our 24-hour urgent care facility in Mooresville when they need care if outside the regular business hours of their healthcare providers,” said John Green, president and CEO of Iredell Health System.
“The new Iredell Urgent Care – Statesville location will provide individuals with more choices to obtain the same high quality, seamless service in Statesville that they are accustomed to receiving at our other locations. We are very excited to see this project quickly become a reality to serve our community.”
