Iredell County Parks & Recreation Department will close Jennings Park, effective July 1, so work can begin on construction of the new park.

The new park, located at 141 Deitz Road north of Statesville, is scheduled to be completed by summer 2025.

The Master Plan for Jennings Park includes four baseball fields, four soccer fields, an 18-hole disc golf course, a multi-purpose turf platform, four pickle ball courts, concession stand and restrooms, six picnic shelters, 2.3 miles of walking trails, an inclusive playground and two maintenance and grounds buildings.

The Iredell County Parks and Recreation Department is excited for this long awaited project to begin and will provide updates as the project progresses.
