FROM STAFF REPORTS
The U.S. Marshals Carolinas Task Force and Statesville Police Department worked together to apprehend a fugitive wanted for armed robbery and other charges.
Tilden Trymaine Miller, 34, of Foundation Court, Mooresville, was taken into custody on Monday, April 10, according to an SPD news release.
Miller was charged with failure to appear in court on the following charges: Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon, Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon, Habitual Felon, Obtaining Property by False Pretense, First-Degree Burglary, and Felony Larceny. He was also served with an outstanding warrant for Resisting a Public Officer.
These charges stemmed from an investigation conducted by the SPD in 2020.
Miller was taken before an magistrate and issued a $222,000 secured bond. He is being held in the Iredell County Detention Center.
The SPD expressed its appreciation to the U.S. Marshals Carolinas Regional Task Force for their partnership.
So, a guy with multiple serious felonies (many of them with firearms) fails to show up on court date. First question….why is he NOT IN JAIL IN THE FIRST PLACE!?
It’s not the guns folks…it’s the system.
Maybe he can be rehabilitated. Lol
There is some serious issues with judicial system. It appears that so like fishing…. Catch and release.!
