The Greater Statesville Chamber of Commerce and the Leadership Advisory Board have announced the 2023-2024 Leadership Statesville class.
Leadership Statesville is dedicated to fostering and uniting the leadership community in Statesville and Iredell County. The program’s mission is to empower individuals through hands-on leader development, comprehensive education, and meaningful local connections. The program is designed to enhance personal and professional growth by facilitating connections to local, state and regional leadership resources.
“Leadership Statesville stands as the pinnacle program for nurturing the leaders and community advocates imperative for Statesville and Iredell County,” said Jon Madison, chair of the program. “We firmly believe that when leaders improve, the entire community thrives.”
Spanning nine months, our program facilitates monthly meetings for participants to delve into the intricacies of the region’s government, educational system, economic development, service organizations, regional issues, leisure and culture, health services, and public safety. Throughout this comprehensive experience, class members gain valuable insights and practical knowledge essential for effective collaboration with volunteers and community groups.
Leadership Statesville has joined forces with Cool Spring Center for leadership development programming. As an integral part of each class day, participants will receive two hours of specialized training provided by Charles Page.
The first day of the program took place on September 7 with a full day retreat at Treetop Adventures on Lake Hickory in Conover.
The Leadership Statesville program would not be possible without its sponsor, the City of Statesville Recreation and Parks Department
