Tickets are now available for three upcoming events at The Historic Sharpe House in Statesville:

The South Iredell High School Honor Strings
Music at the Chapel

Date: Saturday, June 3
Time: 7 p.m.
Details: Come and listen to the final concert for this talented group of seniors from South Iredell High School as they perform a variety of pieces, ranging from renditions of Elvis to classical Tchaikovsky, and beautiful vocals as well. Tickets are $10. Proceeds benefit the Honor Strings for future programs as well as the restoration of the Chapel’s steeple.


Cookies with Cookie

Date: Sunday, June 4
Time: 4 to 6 p.m.
Details: An event by Allison Woods Learning Center, hosted by The Sharpe House. Cookie the Barn Owl is coming to the city all the way from Allison’s Woods. Meet and learn about Cookie and enjoy decorating owl-shaped cookies and eating homemade ice cream. Tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for children.


Music will be provided by The Wood Family Tradition, Jason and Mackenzie and Daniel Wicker.
Appalachian Music Barbecue: Remembering Tom Dooley

Date: Saturday, July 29
Time: 5 to 7 p.m. Gates open at 4:30
Details: This event is sponsored by The Historic Sharpe House, Piedmont Folkways, and Dr. Steve Hill and The Historic Collection of Statesville. A full Southern Barbecue to be enjoyed with the sounds of live music as we reminisce over memories of Tom Dooley. Enjoy pork BBQ, baked beans, corn on the cob, potato salad, red and white Slaws, yeast rolls and cornbread muffins. Desserts include pineapple upside-down cake, banana pudding and Mama Jen’s double vanilla pound cake with the fixings. There will be plenty of sweet tea, unsweet tea and lemonade to wash it all down. Beer and wine tickets and a couple of signature drinks are available with the BBQ and Drinks Tickets. Two drinks per ticket per guest. There are a variety of ticket options.
