Iredell County Parks & Recreation, in partnership with Children’s Hope Alliance and the CHA Heartstrings Program, invites the community to attend the 2nd annual Fall Fun & Food Truck Festival at the Iredell County Fairgrounds in Troutman on Saturday, September 28.
This free, family-friendly event, which runs from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., will feature vendor and community service booths, bounce houses, outdoor games, live music, and food trucks. The fairgrounds are located at 630 N. Main Street in Troutman.
Event attendees are encouraged to bring folding chairs and blankets to relax and enjoy the live music.
ENTERTAINMENT LINEUP
Heartstrings will provide the live music for the event which. The National Anthem will be sung by a Heartstrings participant at 11:50 a.m. The Cosmic Hillbilly Experience will perform at 12 noon, followed by My Better Half at 1 p.m., and Daniel Cobb at 2 p.m.
Cosmic Hillbilly Experience
Garrett Freeze, Landon Mayberry, Keith Rooks, and Chad Courier formed Cosmic Hillbilly Experience in 2021 in Statesville. The band has influences in country, bluegrass, Southern rock, and jam rock. The boys released their first original album “Night Sky” in 2021, followed by “Reflections” in 2022 and their newest album “No Chance Of Going Home” in April of 2024.
My Better Half
Based near Charlotte, My Better Half is a husband-and-wife duo that has performed throughout the Southeast since 2019. This talented twosome, comprised of Ellen and Frank Adams, brings together their complementary vocal styles and instrumental skills to create a sound that’s both nostalgic and modern. With Ellen’s soulful voice and Frank’s guitar-driven melodies, their music is a perfect blend of influences from different genres and eras. From rock and roll, old school R&B and beach music to Motown, country and yacht rock, they deliver a fun-filled ride through some of the best music of the past 50 years.
Daniel Cobb
North Carolina native Daniel Cobb has been pursuing music for almost half of his life, spending time improving his voice and spreading his talents across several instruments. He’s put hours into the craft of songwriting and live performance and has performed at local festivals, schools, and venues for the past several years.
