After decades of providing healthcare to women in Statesville and the surrounding area, Dr. Roshnara Singh is preparing for the next chapter in her career.

As a founding shareholder of Piedmont HealthCare, she has remained a steadfast provider, guiding women through various stages of life—from childbirth to menopause, including fertility management and preventative care–for 31 years.

Singh, who is bidding farewell to Piedmont HealthCare Women’s Center at the end of the month, settled in Statesville to begin her practice at the Women’s Center after completing her training at West Virginia University’s Charleston Area Medical Center.

Singh’s commitment to the community is evident in both her professional and personal life. She raised her family in Statesville, balancing her career demands while building strong ties with the community she served.

“My work here has reinforced the belief that we all depend on each other and that working harmoniously with others brings rewards,” she said.

Singh expressed her profound gratitude for her colleagues and support staff, acknowledging their invaluable contributions to patient care. Reflecting on her long career, she also expressed her appreciation for the opportunity to serve the community.

“I am so fortunate to have been a physician in this community for 31 years. My first and only real job!” she explained. “Taking care of patients through the years has given me an understanding of life and its different stages. I am now beginning to see babies that I delivered as patients,” she shared.

Her career has been marked by numerous instances when her expertise and quick thinking in OB traumas and emergencies significantly impacted the quality of women’s health in the area.

During the next chapter in her life, she has chosen to focus on serving women who are veterans, continuing her legacy of dedicated female healthcare.

Singh’s last day in the office is May 31. For ongoing care, Dr. Mary Torres and Rebekah McCarthy, NP, are available to see patients at Piedmont HealthCare Women’s Center. For more information, visit Piedmont HealthCare Women’s Center.
