Special to Iredell Free News
The Art & Soul series continues this week at the Iredell Arts Council with a reception and conversation with Sue Shoemaker.
A visual artist with a love for many mediums who has found her home in watercolor, Shoemaker uses this beautiful and capricious medium to illustrate stories and poetry. In 2016, she published her first children’s picture book. She is currently collaborating on two new works for children with her husband, Rev. Steve Shoemaker.
The reception begins at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, March 6, followed by the Art & Soul conversation with Shoemaker at 6:30 p.m. The conversation will explore her creative process as it relates to her spiritual journey.
Drop in early to enjoy Shoemaker’s art on display, stay for the warm and open conversation. Refreshments will be served.
The public is invited to attend this free event. Sue Shoemaker’s art will available for viewing throughout the month of March.
The Iredell Arts Council is located at 203 S. Meeting Street in Statesville.
