Special to IFN

Thirty Nursing Fundamentals students participated in the Annual Pinning Ceremony in the CATS Conference Center on Thursday, December 19. CATS Principal Larry E. Rogers welcomed all attendees, acknowledged special guests and introduced the speaker, Nurse Jamie Head.

Head spoke about the importance of the health care profession and the challenges the students will face after graduation.

The ceremony is a symbolic event for Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA). It marks the successful completion of their training and the beginning of their professional career in healthcare.

During the ceremony, newly certified CNAs are presented with a pin, typically by an instructor, signifying their accomplishment and readiness to provide compassionate care. The pin serves as a symbol of the CNAs’ commitment to the profession, and the ceremony often includes speeches, reflections, and a sense of pride for the CNAs. It is a significant rite of passage, recognizing their dedication and the important role they will play in patient care.
