Career Academy and Technical School Masonry Instructor Robert Waugh and four Masonry I students competed in the South Central 42nd Old Castle Adams Top Trowel and Line burner Contest in Goldsboro on March 15.
The students are Foster Clontz, Jacob Nelson, Caleb Russ and JJ Seston.
The 35 contestants were given a two-hour time period to construct their brick structure. The judging was done by top-level masons and included strict guidelines.
Nelson placed 5th Place Overall.
“We are very proud of him and all our students for participating,” Waugh said.
