East Iredell Elementary School recently welcomed approximately 430 guests for Grandparents/Special Persons’ Day, a day dedicated to celebrating the bond that exists between a grandchild and a grandparent or another special person in the child’s life.
Principal Jennifer Ribbeck said it was wonderful seeing all of the visitors investing in the students.
“We are so thankful we had this special time together to sharpen the saw and spend time building memories to last a lifetime,” she said.
Guests had the opportunity to sing together and complete fun activities and crafts with their special student while they visited their classroom.
The event was held in honor of National Grandparents Day, which was September 8.
