EnergyUnited expect to restore most remaining power outages caused by Tropical Storm Debby by 11:59 p.m. Friday, August 9 or sooner.
As of Friday morning, crews have restored power to more than 10,000 members affected by the storm. Less than 60 EnergyUnited members were without power as of Friday afternoon.
At 6:15 p.m. Friday, EnergyUnited was only reporting four outages in Iredell County. The cooperative has 27,732 members in the county.
Twenty-four additional crews from five electric cooperatives and three contractors are also supporting the cooperative’s restoration efforts.
“We are deeply grateful to our members for their patience and understanding during our storm recovery efforts,” said Steve McCachern, vice president of energy delivery for EnergyUnited. “Most members should have power restored by 11:59 p.m. tonight.”
