Personnel from Stony Point, Trinity, Hiddenite, Central, and Harmony fire departments, along with Iredell County EMS and Iredell County Rescue Squad, responded to a structure fire on Lambert Drive about noon on Saturday.

Arriving units transmitted a working fire in a 30-foot-by-50-foot shop with a vehicle inside.

Firefighters made an aggressive interior attack, but were called out of the building when the roof showed signs of a collapse. After taking a defensive operation, the crews used foam to help extinguish the fire, which was brought under control at 12:41 p.m.

No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
