Eighteen young women took the stage on Saturday night at Mac Gray Auditorium to compete for the opportunity to represent the Iredell County area in the 2025 Miss North Carolina and Miss North Carolina’s Outstanding Teen competition to be held next summer.

After performing a high energy tap routine to “Speaking in Taps,” Keelie Jones sailed to victory and claimed the Miss Statesville title.

Keelie is no stranger to the Miss North Carolina stage, having finished as first runner-up last year and third runner-up the year before. Her Community Service Initiative is “Crying Out Loud: Suicide Prevention and Mental Health Awareness.”

Another pageant veteran, Jalon Blackwell was declared Miss Iredell County.

Jalon has competed in the Teen Division previously, but this will be her first year competing as a Miss. She performed a lyrical dance to “Hometown Glory” by Adele.

Her platform is “Hope on the Horizon,” which deals with recovery for victims of Hurricane Helene.

Teen Division

Three titles were also awarded in the Teen Division.

The new Miss Statesville’s Outstanding Teen is Camdyn Lee.

Camdyn performed a lyrical dance to “I Was Here” for her talent presentation and tied for the top talent award.

Savanna Holland was awarded the title of Miss Iredell County’s Outstanding Teen.

She also did a lyrical dance to “All Again.”

Another dancer, who shared the talent award with Camdyn, was Alyssa Hemphill. She will be representing Mooresville as their Outstanding Teen

She performed a jazz dance set to the music of Michael Jackson’s “Dangerous.”

All five new titleholders will compete in state-level competitions next summer in High Point.

Special Guests

A couple of special guests at this year’s pageant was Kamryn Hollowell, who represented Statesville last year on her way to winning the state crown and being named the Miss North Carolina’s Outstanding Teen. She performed and spoke bout her preparations for the upcoming national pageant in Orlando, Fla.

Carrie Everett, the reigning Miss North Carolina, performed and will join Kamryn in Orlando as she competes for the title of Miss America.
