The Full Bloom Film Festival (FBFF) is excited to announce the official selection of 42 films for its 9th annual event. This year’s lineup features a rich array of cinematic voices and stories, promising an engaging experience for all attendees.

Known for its dedication to celebrating independent filmmaking, this boutique festival will take place from September 5-7 in Downtown Statesville. FBFF will present a carefully curated collection of 42 films.

Highlights of the 2024 FBFF Film Selection

For the first time, FBFF will showcase an animated feature film suitable for all ages. The film follows the adventurous inventor and artist Leonardo da Vinci as he leaves Italy to join the French court. Here, he experiments with flying contraptions, studies the human body, and seeks to answer the ultimate question: “What is the meaning of life?” This film features voices from Stephen Fry, Daisy Ridley, Marion Cotillard, Gauthier Battoue, and Matt Berry, and is directed by Academy Award-nominated screenwriter Jim Capobianco of “Ratatouille” fame.

Selections for the 2024 festival include seven Documentary Features, five Animations, three Narrative Features, eight Short Documentaries and 18 Short Narratives.

As FBFF celebrates its 9th year, the festival continues to attract higher quality films and an increase in filmmaker submissions, reflecting its growing prestige.

Full Bloom Film Festival Committee member Brandon Sproul expressed excitement about this year’s lineup.

“We are incredibly proud of the diverse and high-quality films selected for the 2024 Full Bloom Film Festival. Thanks to our film selection committee, who reviewed over 127 films during the selection process. It was a tough decision, but we did our best to put together a terrific festival for everyone that we know you will enjoy.”
