Special to IFN

A Gallery Crawl will be held in Downtown Mooresville on Friday, September 20, from 6 to 8 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.

Participating galleries include EAST Style House & Gallery; Four Corners Framing & Gallery; Juelerye | Artisan Gallery & Gifts; and Mooresville Arts.

During the event, the Downtown Mooresville galleries will offer extended hours for patrons to check out the local art scene. Each gallery will have its own artists, exhibits, and special offerings for the evening, with support and tastings from High Branch Brewing.

♦  EAST Style House + Gallery will continue its exhibition of “Hot Wheels and Tires,” a solo exhibition of new paintings by California contemporary artist Brian Bent. An icon in surf culture, Bent has been a creative force behind companies like Captain Fin, Becker Surf, Stance and United 50. His surf paintings are exhibited and sold across the globe. For the Gallery Crawl, EAST is also proud to display a 62-62 283 Coalbin Roadster engine courtesy of Matt Hurley and the upcoming Old North State Invitational. The engine was raced in the rolling bones speed trials in El Mirage, Calif., in 2018 and featured in the 2019 book “Gas – Oil – Water.”

Four Corners Framing + Gallery will present a live art and music experience! Watch three distinct artists create original works in real time, all while enjoying the soothing sounds of Harp Musician Jayne Sprinkle. Featured Artists are Anne Harkness, a contemporary oil artist blending graphic design elements into her work; Taelyn K Crosby, an artist/storyteller who finds beauty in nature and life; and Paula Del, an artist, singer, and instructor. Engage with the creative process, meet the artists, and immerse yourself.

Juelerye | Artisan Gallery & Gifts will present an evening of live art, exquisite jewelry, sweet treats and storytelling; Elijah Kell will captivate guests with his story as he shares some of his latest glass art creations. Pam White will create vibrant, texture-rich artwork in real-time. Melinda Lawton will showcase her exquisite jewelry creations, which have been worn by Carrie Underwood and Stevie Nicks. Artist and Storyteller Aimee Perry will offer a glimpse into her unique vision of life through her artwork.
