FROM STAFF REPORTS
As the 2024-2025 season kicks off, attendees at Iredell-Statesville Schools’ athletic events should anticipate heightened security screening at all district athletic venues.
In an effort to keep the district’s campuses and spectators safe, all attendees will be scanned with handheld metal detectors at the gate of our athletic events. All personal items, including bookbags, purses, and diaper bags, will be searched. Fans are asked to limit the items they bring with them.
In addition, all children not in high school should be accompanied by a parent or guardian during the sporting event.
“We know these procedures and protocols will create some increased time for our fans between the time they arrive at the school and are seated at the venue,” I-SS officials said in a news release. “Due to this concern, we will continue to offer online ticketing for sporting events.”
Advance tickets for I-SS athletic event at district high schools can be purchased online at gofan.co. Click “Search Schools.” An easy link is located on each high school’s athletic page.
Fans are encouraged to revisit the district’s Fan Code of Conduct and commit to #BeaGoodFan when they attend any event on I-SS campuses.
