Iredell County Sheriff’s Office personnel found a missing child in northwestern Iredell County on Tuesday afternoon.
The ICSO credited drone pilot, Sgt. Irwin, and bloodhound handler, Sgt. Hodges, and his partner Sadie for finding 5-year-old Vivian Stout.
The work of the ICSO personnel “brought a quick resolution and averted a tragic situation,” the Sheriff’s Office reported on its mobile app.
Personnel reported to area of Joyner Road in northeastern Iredell County Tuesday afternoon. The 3-foot-tall child was last seen about 1:30 p.m. A plea for the public’s assistance went a little about 2:15 p.m.
The ICSO reported that the child had been located about 2:55 p.m.
