Starting Friday, September 6, the Iredell County Board of Elections staff will begin to mail absentee ballots to eligible voters who have requested a mail ballot for the 2024 general election.

The general election is on Tuesday, November 5, 2024.

The deadline to request an absentee by mail ballot is Tuesday, October 29, at 5 p.m.

Track your absentee-by-mail ballot

Once you have requested your absentee ballot, you can track its status from printed to accepted by signing up online for status notifications through BallotTrax. BallotTrax will be available 30 days prior to the election. BallotTrax tracks the status of your mail ballot and can send a series of proactive alerts notifying you where your ballot is in the election process.
