Two people were killed and a third person critically injured Saturday night at a home near Mooresville.

Iredell County Sheriff’s Office deputies were searching for three suspects who were wearing masks and reportedly traveling in a white SUV, Sheriff Darren Campbell said.

ICSO deputies were dispatched to a residence off Home Drive in reference to a possible shooting around 6 p.m.

After arriving on the scene, deputies observed someone who appeared to be unresponsive inside the home.

The deputies entered the home and discovered that person and another individual were deceased, Campbell said. A third victim, who was found on the back porch, was seriously injured.

The sheriff said he could not confirm that the victims had been shot.
