Iredell Water Corp. announced Friday an end to all water restrictions put in place over the last several weeks to protect its water supply during a period of severe drought.
Iredell County has received enough rain in recent weeks to move it from a severe drought designation to conditions that range from abnormally dry to no drought at all.
“Everyone with Iredell Water would like to thank our customers for helping us protect our water supply,” said Danny Sloan, general Manager and CEO of Iredell Water. “It was a difficult moment for nearly the entire state, but because of the cooperation of our customers, we were able to avoid restrictions that would’ve significantly impacted their daily lives.”
