Special to IFN

Brooklyn-based singer/songwriter Leslie Mendelson is scheduled to perform on the stage at the Iredell Arts Council at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, September 19.

Riding high on praise for her latest album, “If You Can’t Say Anything Nice…” and her solo acoustic EP “In The Meantime,” Mendelson continues to captivate a broad audience. Relix Magazine describes her fan base as “a loyal, cross-generational audience that hugs the hippie, hipster, coffee shop, and society crowds.”

Mendelson’s previous works, including her Grammy-nominated debut album “Swan Feathers” (2009) and “Love & Murder” (2017), focused on matters of the heart. Her recent releases include the song “A Human Touch,” a duet with Jackson Browne for the documentary film 5B, which also appears on Browne’s 2021 Grammy-nominated album “Downhill From Everywhere.”

With collaborations featuring The Grateful Dead’s Bob Weir and an invitation to open shows for The Who, Mendelson continues to solidify her place in music history.

The Iredell Arts Council is located at 203 S. Meeting Street in Statesville.
